Dispatch #2 Fredrick Sträng K2 2017
In our last Dispatch, we detailed Sträng’s pre-game preparation for K2 2017 and his plans for the expedition. Sträng was set to leave Sweden on 12 June.
We are very excited to report that Sträng has made it to Islamabad safely and began his workout preparations early on 13 June. He is in good spirits and keeping good company, excited about the days ahead.
Also in the region are other climbers heading for the Baltoro Trek, including Collin Haley, which Sträng once climbed with when Haley was a 17-year-old “shooting star.” Both are expected to catch up on the trail.

Sträng now begins the daunting task of organizing the gear and food he arranged to have shipped to Islamabad on 04 June prior to his arrival. He plans to continue a strict preparation regimen that includes proper exercise and food intake daily.
